The warranty is unconditionally transferable.

The warranty may not exceed the physical properties of the products used or the useful life of the concrete.

Prior to 1960, the quality of concrete (especially in the residential sector) was highly variable and often of poor quality due to a lack of strict standards, insufficient cement dosages to save money, and the absence of modern admixtures.
 
Characteristics of old concrete
 

• Low mechanical strength: Compressive strength was often around 7 to 14 MPa (1000 to 2000 psi), compared to modern concretes that easily exceed 20 to 30 MPa.

 

• High porosity: Mixtures sometimes contained too much water or not enough binder, which made the foundations very porous.

 

• Presence of impurities: It was not uncommon to find construction debris, pieces of wood or poorly calibrated aggregates mixed directly into the mass.

 

• Frost vulnerability: Without air-entraining agents, this concrete absorbs moisture and crumbles or cracks more easily due to freeze-thaw cycles.
